The Third Parties Assistant Commercial Manager role is responsible for assisting in the negotiation, development and embedding of contractual arrangements with selected Third Parties for the protection, diversion and connection of Third Party assets, to facilitate the construction and operation of the HS2 network. About the role: General Support the achievement of assurance and governance requirements of all commercial agreement deliverables. Pre-Agreement Support the development and approvals of a portfolio of standard third party agreements and assist in the development of new and complex agreements through the life-cycle stages from identifying the business need to contract award drawing, on internal and external resources as required. Maintain the pipeline reports and register through regular updates, ensuring it is accurate and complete, and provide monthly reports to the Third Parties Head of Commercial which evidence successful delivery of projects. Support preparation of materials for boards and committees, as required, in order to secure 'buy-in' and respond to challenge and scrutiny. Engage with other Directorates promoting compliance with procurement and third party agreement processes and identify requirements for third party agreements, and provide support in devising programme for delivery and implementation. Post-Agreement Support the implementation of awarded agreements within relevant business teams. Apply agreed commercial models for charging by third parties and/or pricing of HS2 services in developing agreements, ensuring compliance with Managing Public Money guidelines and driving best value. Experience of commercial context to ensure that value for money is secured and demonstrated. Experience of compiling commercial documents, maintaining accuracy and quality. Experience with organisations such as utilities, highways authorities, rail companies.
