Up to £53,000 + £8,000 Car Allowance + 25% Bonus (£11,000)

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit an experienced Control and Instrumentation Technician or established Engineer to join a leader within the green energy sector, focusing on Landfill Gas Power and Solar Power.
Reporting to the Control and Instrumentation Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the performance and analysis of electrical infrastructure monitoring systems and instrumentation equipment. This role entails travelling to different sites across your region with the ability to work from home and manage your workload. The ideal candidate would be located between Bedford, Northampton, Leicester, and Cambridge. A UK driving licence is essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Planning and organising maintenance schedules for regional technicians and contractors
2. Providing training and technical support to regional technicians
3. Troubleshooting and fault finding on controls and instrumentation equipment
4. Supporting Control and Instrumentation Maintenance Manager with upgrades, completion of project work, and management of contractors
5. Travelling to assets across Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, and East Anglia ensuring health and safety policies are upheld
6. Other duties as required
Minimum Requirements:
1. Proven experience in a control and instrumentation role in the Power or heavy process sector e.g., Water Treatment, Chemical Plant, Paper Mill, Steel, etc.
2. A relevant Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering qualification at Degree/HND/HNC level
3. A time-served apprenticeship is beneficial but not essential
4. Ability to lead and manage technicians
5. Working knowledge of all relevant H&S legislation
