Our client is a leading manufacturer that values hard work, teamwork, and developing people. They are part of a large national group with multiple sites in the UK and are seeking an experienced electrical-biased shift engineer to join their team.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Carry out planned, preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all high-speed production and packaging machinery.
2. Work on control panels, HMI's, PLC's, SCADA systems.
3. Perform electrical and mechanical fault finding, problem solving, and repairs.
4. Participate in continuous improvement projects.
5. Handle motors, VSD's, servo drives, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, and inverters.
6. Mechanical fabrication, fitting, and welding.
7. Maintain and modify electrical and mechanical drawings.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
1. Must be an electrically biased engineer.
2. NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering or maintenance minimum.
3. 17th Edition wiring regulations.
4. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
5. Strong electrical and mechanical problem-solving skills.
6. Knowledge of PLCs, automation, and control systems, HMI's.
7. Continuous improvement mindset.
8. Willingness to assist in all team areas.
9. Experience working with motors, inverters, VSD's, sensors, switches, pneumatics, gearboxes.
