The Manufacturing Engineer will support the current manufacturing of HVDC Products ensuring continued improvements are developed. In addition, support where required in NPI programs, with full support to the Manufacturing Leader. Job Description Responsibilities: - Take ownership of and implement, equipment Industrialised by Industrialisation Manufacturing engineer and support during projects. - Re-launch of repeat manufactured product. - Regular maintenance of equipment with suppliers. - Maintaining calibration of equipment with suppliers. - Operator training and production support (build, equipment, and software i.e., Drawings, Desoutter, LMS etc). - Point of contact for in-depth Manufacturing equipment support or breakdowns. - Setup of Production record checking, maintenance, and update. - Work with suppliers as necessary for support and work on production equipment. - Manufacturing and business systems maintenance; QMS, LMS, manufacturing equipment software. - Documentation creation; Work instructions, Risk Assessments. - Continuous Improvement implementation of activities - Support the New Product and Change implementation process. - Work in a team environment to solve issues to keep goals and milestones. - Participate in cross functional working groups to support Design for Manufacture, PFMEA, PIP, etc. - Documentation creation and sign off; Work instructions, Risk Assessments, Management of Change, and Operator Training. - Provide day to day Support to manufacturing during production project builds. The Person - The candidate will have a good level of general education and communication skills and will have previously worked in a manufacturing environment supporting and implementing production equipment. - Ideally Candidates should have SAP experience, but full training will be given. - In addition to relevant experience, an enquiring mind and desire to learn new skills are essential qualities. Skills and Experience Preferred: - EHS compliance and safe working practices. - Ability to deliver results, address and resolve technical issues. - Demonstrated years' of experience in a manufacturing environment and assembly knowledge. - HNC / HND or Engineering Degree or equivalent in a related discipline. - Interaction with others and good at sharing knowledge. - Knowledge of manufacturing Equipment Desoutter, Dalmec LMS would be advantageous. Additional skills beneficial but not critical - Advanced manufacturing Methods and subsequent implementation, LEAN. - Knowledge of HVDC product testing would be advantageous. - Knowledge of business principles, strategy, and subsequent interface across all functions. Specific Abilities: - Interpersonal and communication skills - Self-motivating, proactive and results driven approach - Able to work to deadlines with good quality - Proficient in the English language, written and verbal. - Basic knowledge of 3D CAD and 3D printing would be beneficial.
