Nursery Cook 10 hour post available at Octagon Nursery 12 hour post available at Fenchurch Nursery Worked term time only by banking toil each week to cover the holiday Salary: £22,086.75 FTE The role will include: Supporting Nursery and Deputy managers to ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed in line with local authority and Goodwin procedures Maintaining confidentiality of information obtained regarding children, families and other staff, which is learned as part of the job role. Writing appropriate menu’s, with support from the nursery team, parents and children, that are appealing to children ensuring a healthy nutritional balanced multi-cultural diet. Having an understanding of different dietary requirements for children aged 6 months to 5 years and to alter menus accordingly. Having an awareness of allergies and dietary needs or be willing to train towards this. Maintaining a clean, safe and healthy kitchen environment in accordance with Environmental health and legislation. Maintaining accurate records regarding temperature controls etc. Ensuring all Health and Safety Policies and procedures are followed on a daily basis and are in line with Environmental Health guidelines. To be successful in this role you will: Have a food safety level 2 qualification. Have knowledge and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and vulnerable adults. Have knowledge of dietary requirements and allergies. Have experience working within an Early Years Setting, working towards all policies and procedures. Have experience of environmental health inspections. What can we offer you?
