Interim Senior Legal Counsel UKI (6-month FTC)
Reporting to the General Counsel of Europe and IO, the interim Senior Legal Counsel for CE will be primarily responsible for the first level of legal support for the UKI region. The role has a broad coverage and will be suited to someone who enjoys variety. The role is intended to be for a fixed term to fill in for a maternity cover.
This position is UK based, preferably in London. This will be a hybrid role, 2 days/week in our Stratford, London office.
Your role in our future
* Managing regional corporate governance (with the help of external counsel);
* Managing disputes/litigations;
* Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements for the different business lines (including both software and hardware offerings) and business models (e.g. License, SaaS, Leasing, One-time sales etc.), including complex, high-value software license agreements, services agreements, reseller and partnership agreements, subcontracting agreements, non-disclosure agreements with large customers who operate in various sectors;
* Providing general commercial legal support to the Sales team and day to day operational support for the business as a trusted legal advisor;
* Legal monitoring and internal trainings towards commercial and operational teams;
* Contributing to implement and develop company policies and procedures at a regional level, and advising internal clients on a broad array of issues and risks to ensure compliance with company policies and the applicable law;
* Participating and supporting global projects;
* Collaborating with broader legal team in other regions;
* Timely management reporting on deals, budget and litigation activities;
* Providing legal support to HR, Finance, Credit collection or other departments.
Your profile
* Qualified solicitor & a practicing lawyer;
* Excellent knowledge of commercial contracts along with astute negotiation skills (ability to present, handle objections and negotiate contracts with a “win win” approach);
* Solid commercial experience and sound judgement;
* Good knowledge of corporate matters and intellectual property law;
* 7-10 years working experience in an internationally operating IT company as in-house counsel;
* Excellent drafting and negotiating skills.
