Job Purpose
Be part of the leadership forum of the CEN Team, responsible for service innovation, efficiency and development in accordance to evidence base and models of recovery. Accountable for own professional practice in the delivery of specialist psychological care to clients with complex emotional needs who have frequent primary diagnoses of Personality Disorder, significant secondary diagnoses and whom are challenging to engage and present with significant risks of self-harm. This role may involve working outside a typical 9am to 5pm framework, including an out of hours rota.
To provide specialist assessments and bespoke formulation driven risk assessments in collaboration with the Team and our service users and their families. To be compassionate in meeting the needs of clients, their carers and families and provide hope and optimism on their journey towards recovery.
To promote psychological approaches to recovery within the wider Team and whole system, by offering Reflective Practice, training and supervision. To promote at all times a positive image of people with Complex Emotional Needs and challenge stigma where appropriate. To promote at all times a positive image of the service and the wider Trust.
In line with the banding of the post and its service context:
1. Exercise supervisory/professional responsibility for other psychological therapists and trainees.
2. Provide leadership in multi-disciplinary training and development.
3. Provide leadership in service audit and development.
4. Provide leadership in service evaluation and research.
5. Ensure that a psychological perspective is brought to service redesign and cultural change.
