Job title: Manufacturing Technician Location: Radway Green Salary: £47,418 inclusive of 25% shift allowance (Basic £37,935) What You’ll Be Doing Ensuring processes are maintained and operated in a safe manner and escalate issues affecting safety within the given production area Ensuring that work undertaken adheres to relevant quality standards and provides support in the implementation of quality improvement projects Operating of manufacturing processes and facilities to meet production programme requirements Supporting implementation of continuous improvement activities Identifying, raising and implementing solutions to safety, quality and production problems Essential Your skills and experiences: A time served mechanical engineering apprenticeship in a manufacturing environment (minimum NVQ Level 3). Experience of working within a production environment whilst conducting preventative maintenance activities. Experience in the setting and operating of high volume manufacturing plant and equipment. Experienced in fault finding with root cause, corrective and preventative activities. Desirable Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC). Experience with Pneumatic and automated systems. The Manufacturing Team The Manufacturing Team has developed into a stable and well-functioning unit operating on a 3 shift rotating system of 37 hours per week. The three shifts consists of Monday to Thursday 8hrs per shift and Friday 5 hours per shift at a 25% shift enhancement. There are opportunities for overtime which has a 25% enhancement in the week and a 60% enhancement on the weekend above base rate. Why BAE Systems?
