Duties
1. Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
2. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
3. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
4. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
5. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
6. Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere.
7. Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.
Skills
1. Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking techniques.
2. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to maintain hygiene standards.
3. Leadership abilities to effectively manage kitchen operations and support team members.
4. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
5. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative.
6. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
7. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous.
