Job Title: Distributed Field Support Engineer
Location: Dorset / Somerset
Salary: D.O.E
Key Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose, repair, and replace PCs, laptops, printers, servers, retail equipment, and associated peripherals.
2. Perform desk-side support for our clients as requested.
3. Assist other engineers in delivering services to our customers.
4. Cover site roles as required due to planned or unplanned absence.
5. Carry out any other reasonable request from your line management.
6. Perform customer rebuilds and configuration at the desk.
7. Undertake AV repairs and printer repairs.
8. Carry out IMAC projects with minimal supervision.
9. May be required to train on new technologies, such as AV or Cisco.
10. Comply with management system policies, company policies & guidelines, and take responsibility for health & safety in the workplace.
11. Maintain a professional and presentable appearance at all times.
12. Must hold a full UK manual driving licence where required for the role.
13. Respond promptly to any information requests from your line management.
14. Be familiar with customer policies and processes, where applicable.
15. Be approachable and open to training requirements related to the role.
16. Maintain the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the role to the required standard.
17. Embrace new technologies and adapt to change.
18. Ensure company assets are kept in good working order and general condition.
Skills and Experience:
1. Operation knowledge of PCs, laptops, printers, and associated peripherals.
2. Familiarity with key client-specific procedures.
3. Trained in desktop, laptop, printer, and server maintenance.
4. Extensive knowledge of common software products.
5. Experience with AV systems.
6. Strong customer-facing skills.
7. BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance.
8. SC Clearance.
