An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner(ACP) to apply for a lead role within the Corporate Nursing Team. Working with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement the Trusts Advance Practice Strategy. Based within the Education and Practice Development Team you will support the NMAHP Education Lead in scoping and delivering an education and workforce plan for our ACPs.
The ACP Lead will support the Director of Nursing in developing and implementing the Trust's Advanced Practice Strategy. To support in developing and implementing the Advanced Clinical practice workforce and service to improve the patient experience; provide clinical leadership and support within medical and nursing teams.
Working independently at an advanced clinical level in the direct delivery of high-quality care making critical clinical decisions based on advanced clinical skills assessment. Supporting Consultant Medical Staff with day-to-day clinical activity.
To support the NMAHP Workforce Lead in all aspects of planning, implementation, and compliance with non-medical job planning. To work closely with the nursing teams to identify appropriate activity language to allow for accurate collection of job planning data. To engage staff with all aspects of job planning in line with work objectives.
Main duties of the job
The ACP Lead will be responsible for leading and supervising a large cohort of students studying the apprenticeship ACP Programme. The postholder will co-ordinate the education programme and activities required to support the ACPs in practice and for a higher level of study.
The post holder will be responsible for taking forward the Trust ACP strategy and organisational adherence to the Trust ACP policy.
The post holder will lead the co-ordination of the Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) student's activities in education and clinical settings within the Trust. Working within the local and nationally agreed frameworks for the ACPs the post holder will;o Ensure that the students currently studying for a master's degree will be fit for purpose and ready to integrate into the workforce. These students will have undergone training to meet the academic and core clinical requirements relevant to the role of the qualified Ensure that the ACP training program is fully aligned to the Trust strategic plan for workforce and operational delivery.
They will be responsible for the development of a Supervision Framework for the students to include medical supervision by the nominated Consultant, academic supervision in practice and the development of a clinical supervision strategy to be integrated into this Framework.
