Maintenance Manager Annual Salary: Grade 6 Location: Abersychan Job Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday, 08:00-16:00 with overtime evenings and weekends) We are seeking an experienced Premises Manager with a background in the education sector to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial for maintaining a clean, safe, and secure environment for all staff and students, and for leading strong health and safety practices on the school site. Day-to-day of the role: Maintain a clean, safe, and secure working environment for all staff and students. Lead strong practice in health and safety on the school site. Secure a clean, safe, and secure school environment, during and beyond the school day. Lead premises management, including the effective management of risks. Help develop the site as the ‘Sporting Hub’ for the community and our local sports clubs. Enhance our premises and facilities for community use. General duties: Observe confidentiality in all aspects of work. Participate in the service area’s supervision process and/or Corporate Appraisal process. Demonstrate a willingness to undertake training development and learning opportunities to improve skills. Comply with and support others to observe Health and Safety Act 2009 procedures and processes. Adhere to the terms of the Alternative Working Strategy should the post be eligible. Adhere to data protection principles whilst undertaking your duties and report data breaches to the data protection team. Undertake your duties in a manner which safeguards and promotes the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Premises Manager, preferably within the education sector. Strong leadership skills in managing health and safety practices.
