Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity? We are pleased to offer you the chance to work as an Assistant Practitioner in the Mental Health Liaison Service (MHLS) in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, forward-thinking individual who thrives on working in a stimulating, highly pressured, strongly supported environment.
We are a dynamic, rapidly evolving service covering all ages over 16 years in a 1254-bed busy general hospital dealing with over 400 referrals per month.
Your role would require you to have core competencies across all mental health presentations and is highly valued by all disciplines within the team. As an Assistant Practitioner, you will work both jointly with other members of the multi-disciplinary team as well as independently. The role includes regular service user support, review, and treatment alongside liaison with NNUH, NSFT, and external professionals including carers. Assistant Practitioners in our team play a key role in discharge planning and in optimising service user care.
You will be part of an effective mutually supportive clinical team which undertakes highly complex assessments and treatment of service users who are patients in the NNUH (ward and A&E). The post will have strong support from experienced Clinical Band 6 Assessors, an established management team, Band 4 Assistant Practitioners, Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and an admin team.
Here at NSFT, we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, talented, friendly, and supportive team who like nothing better than sharing experiences and learning from each other. In addition to ongoing training and development opportunities, we are committed to providing an environment in which you can thrive.
Why work for us? We have challenges as a Trust, but we have ambitious aspirations, are pushing ahead with exciting transformation work, and we need dedicated individuals to support us on our journey. We have strong, established professional networks coupled with an exceptional leadership team who will ensure you are truly cared for and cared about.
