Job Title: Design & Technology Teacher Location: North East England, County Durham, Stockton-on-Tees Job Type: Long Term Supply Primary Industry: Education and Training Job Duties: The Design & Technology Teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in accordance with the national curriculum. They will assess and evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support students in achieving their learning objectives. The teacher will also actively participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and extracurricular activities as required. Required Qualifications: - A recognised teaching qualification - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Relevant degree in Design & Technology or related field Education: Bachelor's degree in Design & Technology or related field Experience: Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in Design & Technology Knowledge and Skills: - Strong understanding of Design & Technology subject matter - Excellent classroom management skills - Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners - Effective communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications: - Postgraduate qualification in Education - Experience in implementing project-based learning approaches - Familiarity with educational technology tools Working Conditions: The Design & Technology Teacher will work in a school setting, following the academic calendar. They may be required to work occasional evenings or weekends for school events or parent meetings. The role involves standing for extended periods, using educational technology, and interacting with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis.
