FEMALE PA/SUPPORT WORKER REQUIRED (Folkestone)
Due to the sensitive nature of this role, we will be considering female applicants only for this post in accordance with the provision of the Occupational Requirement (Equality Act 2010) pursuant to schedule 9 part 1.
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced PA/support worker to assist a 16-year-old young lady to access school during the week and to access social opportunities at the weekend and during school holidays. Previous experience of ASD is important.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the young lady in accessing school transport on weekdays for up to 2 hours in the morning.
2. Support her in accessing fun social opportunities on weekends, with availability for up to 3-4 hours.
3. Implement clear and calm strategies to motivate her during challenging behavior.
4. Communicate effectively with her mother, who has a hearing impairment, to ensure smooth management of situations.
Requirements:
1. Clean driving licence and use of your own car is essential for transportation to social activities.
2. 1 year of experience as a support worker is required.
3. Availability for weekday and weekend hours.
Rate of pay is £13 per hour, with 4 weeks paid holiday (pro rata) plus bank holidays, and access to a workplace pension.
The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check (provided) and will start as soon as a clear check is received. This can be provided if you do not already have one.
