Pastoral Coach in Adult ESOL and Essential Skills 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year term time £30,138 (actual £25,258 pro rata) We are looking to appoint an inspiring and enthusiastic Pastoral Coach to work with our Adult Learners both on ESOL (English as a Second Language) and Adult Essential Skills (Functional Skills & GCSE courses) You will have experience in supporting adult learners, especially those with an ESOL background and an understanding of the challenges learners face when returning to study. Knowledge and experience of working with a wide range of support services is vital. You will have demonstratable experience in working collaboratively with excellent communication and organisational skills. A working knowledge of MS Teams and MS Officer (including Word, PowerPoint and Excel) is required and an understanding of using EBS is preferable. The successful candidate will be working with the Curriculum Lead and lecturers within this course and will assist with supporting learners in their studies, including using attendance and progress reports to highlight students at risk and develop support plans to help them stay on course. This position could include some flexible working to provide service for evening classes (Monday to Thursday) on a rota basis to be agreed. Some work outside of term time to support adult learners through enrolment is required.
