Academics LTD are working with a specialist school in Slough who provide Therapy-Based Provision for children aged 5 to 18 with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The school is looking for a compassionate and positive SEN Specialist. The position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience working alongside qualified SEN practitioners and psychologists.
Fantastic opportunity for anyone seeking experience working in Education, Teaching or Mental Health. The SEN Specialist role will enable you to deepen vital skills through working on a 1:1 and group basis with children with Autism, behavioural challenges, sensory issues, and communication difficulties. Additionally, many of the pupils have coexisting mental health needs so this would be a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to start a career in mental health.
SEN Specialist Requirements:
* Working closely with other external practitioners and psychologists
* Understanding of complex needs
* Helping students reach Learning Milestones and academic objective via a personalised approach
* Demonstrated Interest in working with children or in Mental Health
* Proactive, calm, adaptable
This is also a great opportunity for Graduates looking to gain experience in an education setting, or someone who wants to work in psychology or mental health. No experience required, however recognised qualifications include: Degree, Level 3 qualifications + or any other experience working with SEN children.

* £83 - £95 per day (dependent upon experience, training, qualifications & client rate available)
* Long-term temporary position with opportunity for permanent
* Full-Time: Mon-Fri 8.30 am – 3.30 pm
* Experience desired but not essential
