Job Purpose: Reporting to the Quality Engineering Automation Manager, the QE Automation Lead will be responsible for architecting Automation solutions for Testing services, along with providing support to direct business driven technical advancement. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing end-to-end automation testing solutions for our software products. This role involves working closely with the different business units, test teams and vendors to ensure a seamless integration of automated testing into the software development lifecycle. The candidate will guide and mentor product teams, defining best practices and driving the adoption of automation tools and techniques. Key Responsibilities: · Ability to solve all the technical challenges in Katalon (all LCNC features) and act as an Automation SME. · Possess in-depth knowledge of multiple open source/commercial tools for Web, API and Desktop test automation (Katalon, Selenium.) · Actively promoting Test Automation as a Service to Internal business units. · Test Framework Design: Architect and develop robust and scalable automation test frameworks for all functional testing. · Continuous Integration/Continuous Testing: Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines and ensure automation runs efficiently and effectively in all environments. · Mentoring and Guidance: Lead and mentor team members on best practices, coding standards, and automation testing methodologies. Facilitate knowledge sharing within the team. · Test Planning & Execution: Work with product owners and QE engineers to define automation test solution and ensure that automated tests are comprehensive and efficient. · Quality Metrics & Reporting: Define key quality metrics, measure automation coverage, and generate reports on automation effectiveness. · Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally with product vendors, suppliers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless test execution and issue resolution. · Automation Optimization: Analyse and optimize the performance of automated tests to ensure high reliability and fast execution times. · Troubleshooting: Provide quick and effective solutions to test failures, collaborating with other teams to resolve issues. Performance Objectives: · Adapt quickly to the current ways of working and contribute to the wider Automation strategy. · Engagement with vendor Automation test resources and technical analysis of ongoing projects · Provide mentorship and training to IT and business with Katalon to raise the overall skill level of the team. · Effective collaboration with key product team stakeholders/QE’s in resolving the technical challenges related to Automation · Effective collaboration with the Quality Engineering Automation Manager to review the existing Manual testing challenges and plan remediation. · Evaluate and select the right tools and technologies that align with project needs and company goals for automation testing. · Optimize automation test suites to ensure they are efficient, fast, and scalable. Technical Skills: · Hands-on experience in scripting languages such as Groovy, Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar. · Experience with popular test automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit, or similar. · Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or similar. · Proficiency with version control systems such as Git. · Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile methodologies. Skills and Experience Specification: · Demonstrable testing experience · Adept at carving out / architecting commercially viable testing solutions, creating value differentiators. · Good consulting, communication, convincing and presentation skills · Expert knowledge of Effort Estimation and Scheduling, Scope definition · Good Understanding of Technology and Insurance Domain · Hands-on Automation experience with proven abilities to design, construct, customize and maintain hybrid Test automation frameworks. · Proficient in defining and constructing generic automation frameworks for web based and windows-based applications Proficient on automating scripts on mobile versions of above platform.
