This role is pivotal in driving the strategic and operational goals of a leading non-profit organisation within the UK insurance market. Reporting to the COO, you will assist the Association in achieving its 3-year strategy to build our Client to be recognised as the Third Force within the UK general insurance profession.
This role is ideal for individuals with an underwriting background, whether at an insurer or MGA. A strong working knowledge of insurance regulation across the P&C landscape - encompassing MGAs, brokers, and insurers - is essential. This knowledge will enable you to collaborate effectively with the compliance partner to proactively address member needs.
The successful candidate will also work closely with the Client's Training Manager, both by recommending and sharing technical briefings for inclusion in the program.

Main Purpose of Role:
* Assist the COO and contribute as part of the Executive team to deliver the Association's strategy and business plan within designated timescales.
* Assist in increasing and maintaining the existing membership across all tiers.
* Develop the Client's community.
* Develop technical content for the Association Program of Learning & Insight, forums, committees, and/or market events.
* Proactively engage with relevant governing bodies and industry associations, creating individual engagement and content plans for each for the benefit of all members.
* Develop and create a comprehensive technical library including a market and MI reporting suite for the benefit of members and Executive team.
* Provide technical and regulatory support to members.
Main Duties & Tasks:
1. Engage with industry governing bodies and associations in identifying relevant regulatory or market trends impacting members, creating individual activity plans that provide membership value.
2. Proactively identify, plan, and liaise with colleagues in creating collateral and/or events on technical and regulatory matters that impact and benefit members.
3. Liaise with the Learning & Development Manager in creating a comprehensive member-relevant insight program for delivery to members.
4. Create a comprehensive technical content library, accessible for members and containing templates, wordings, and contracts relevant to the industry.
5. Liaise with regulatory bodies and other associations in contributing to the technical library.
6. Provide direct technical support to members as requested.
7. Consistently review and market map the MGA and insurer community in the UK, ROI, and Gibraltar with specific reference to technical developments and regulatory changes.
8. Manage the Association's relationship with its Compliance Partner ensuring alignment, delivery on expectations, and contract commitments.
9. Create a relevant Association research library for both internal and external use.
10. Develop and create a Management Information reporting suite for both internal and external use in promoting the Association and its members.
11. Work with the Executive team in continuously improving membership propositions through technical input contributions.
12. Create and implement the Technical Support section of the Association website.
13. Identify and implement new MGA technical catalogues for MGA Assess and ROI members.
14. Provide technical input to all association external assets.
