Job Title: Band 5 ACT Dispensary Pharmacy Technician Banding: 5 Location: Aylesbury Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday Start Date: ASAP Duration: Until 31 March 2025 Rate: £19 - £22 per hour We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Band 5 ACT Dispensary Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Aylesbury. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our dispensary services. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and safety of medication dispensing, contributing to the overall effectiveness of our pharmacy operations. Responsibilities: As a Band 5 ACT Dispensary Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the final accuracy checking of dispensed medications, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and protocols. You will manage the day-to-day operations of the dispensary, including the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions, inventory management, and maintaining accurate records. Your role will involve collaborating with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective use of medications. Additionally, you will provide guidance and support to junior staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and continuous improvement in the dispensary processes. Qualifications and Experience: Hold an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification. BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent. Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC). Final Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to continuous professional development.
