On behalf of our client, NRL Recruitment are looking for a Permit to Work Coordinator for work in the Chester/N.Wales area.
Duration: 6 months
Start: Interviews before the end of the year to start Jan 2025
Location: Chester/N.Wales
Rate: Your requested daily rate (PAYE or Ltd)
Hours: Mon-Fri standard hours. Full time on site.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that Project/Site HSE plans and procedures are properly implemented on site during operations.
2. Report to the upper HSE referent on any HSE issues occurred on site.
3. Liaise continuously with the workforce and supervision on HSE issues.
Tasks:
* As a member of the HSE department, the Permit to Work Officer is responsible for management and monitoring of all PTW systems.
* The appointed person is authorized and trained to coordinate the process of all Permits, to identify potential conflicting work tasks, both on a geographical and time basis.
* The Permit to Work Coordinator will manage the PTW office and chair a daily PTW coordination meeting.
Further duties to include:
* Conduct internal HSE inspections.
* Deliver HSE induction and training.
* Keep updated HSE procedures for the specific tasks.
* Supervise HSE procedures implementation in the operative sites.
* Ensure effective implementation of Life Saving Rules.
* Spread HSE rules/standards/procedures/bulletins on site.
* Ensure that relevant safety risk assessments are complied with, and that Job Safety Analysis are prepared during the operations.
* Promote safe operative techniques and methodologies for the planning and safety control (i.e. JSA).
* Ensure adequate HSE reporting in line with Company procedures.
* Inspect subcontractors’ activities.
* Control compliance of the equipment utilized on site.
* Monitor the effective implementation of the Permit to Work system on site.
* Prepare and administer HSE Key Performance Indicators for the operational activities.
* Assist in the investigation of accidents and analysis to identify trends and propose the necessary corrective measures.
* Monitor and maintain control measures in the use of hazardous materials.
* Supervise Environmental aspect on site, supporting key personnel.
