Permanent full-time position Your new role We are seeking a passionate and experienced Team Leader to manage a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering the Victorian Family Preservation and Reunification Response (FPR) in the Eastern Division. FPR is an evidence-based, collaborative service designed to provide rapid, intensive, and sustained interventions to prevent at-risk children from entering or re-entering care. In this role, you will lead a team of Senior Practitioners, guiding them in delivering a relational, client-centered, and evidence-informed case management approach. You will collaborate with partner agencies, especially Child Protection, to identify eligible referrals and coordinate service delivery, all while ensuring the provision of high-quality, innovative services to families. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise a team of Senior Practitioners in the delivery of FPR services. Collaborate with Child Protection and partner agencies to identify referrals and ensure effective service coordination. Ensure fidelity to the FPR model through staff coaching, training, and professional development. Oversee the implementation and recording of child and family outcome data, as well as the management of flexible support packages. Support the continuous improvement of service delivery and contribute to local governance arrangements. Provide high-level leadership, ensuring that the team is working collaboratively and efficiently to meet measurable outcomes for children and families. Your skills and experience To be successful in your application you will hold a degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related tertiary qualification relevant to child and family welfare. You will also have: Proven leadership in child, youth, and family welfare, with experience in senior roles and supporting vulnerable families. Expertise in risk assessment, engaging families, and conducting assertive outreach, particularly for children (0-17 years). Strong knowledge of family-centered practices, the Best Interests Case Practice Model, CYFA (2005/2015 amendments), and child development theories. View the position description here.
