Howdens Joinery have an exciting new opportunity for a new Divisional Sales Manager to join our Contracts division. You will effectively manage a team of Regional Contract Managers and Contract Sales Representatives covering the North of the UK & Ireland to develop and grow the contracts newbuild business.
What will I be doing as a Divisional Contract Manager?
1. Responsible for growing the business and dealing with any issues arising on sites.
2. Up to 10 direct reports – Mentor and KPI staff in order to meet and exceed targets.
3. Reporting into the Head of Contracts and working closely with the Head of Finance and Support Staff.
4. Covering the North of the UK and Ireland.
5. Achieve and surpass area sales targets by monitoring (KPIs) and developing the Regional Contracts Managers (RCM) and Contract Sales Representatives (CSR).
6. Develop key account growth and implement price increases on to customers.
7. Explore and develop routes to market.
8. Manage project budgets and incremental remedial costs.
9. Develop relationships and collaborate with Contract Depots to improve service.
10. Work closely with the Head of Contracts and Contracts Finance Manager to achieve commercial goals.
What we need from you:
1. Experience managing regional / geographically spread teams.
2. Experience working in the construction industry with Kitchen product knowledge.
3. Experience working with M&E drawings.
4. Solid business development experience.
5. Demonstrable experience achieving and surpassing sales targets.
6. Used to being customer focussed with a delivery approach.
7. Working knowledge of CAD plans and the ability to value engineer designs to maximise profit.
8. A manager who can lead, develop and motivate a diverse team of managers and staff.
9. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise own workload and delegate to others.
10. Ability to coach and mentor others to achieve required standards.
11. Exceptional communications skills both written and oral.
12. Ability to communicate at any level with people from a variety of backgrounds, industries and cultures.
13. Strong commercial customer service skills.
14. Can deliver high standards to tight deadlines.
15. Must be flexible with working arrangements in order to meet the demands of the contract customers.
16. Extensive travel with some overnight stays.

1. OTE of £80,000.
