To support the growing demand in the business, we are looking to take on an experienced Detailer to join our high-performing teams based in our Christchurch location.
About the Role:
This role will involve the interpretation of architectural plans and producing detailed drawings. You will be working as part of a cohesive and successful team demonstrating your technical expertise to ensure product quality and minimise wastage. This role is centred on customer service and will have a high level of exposure to internal and external customers.
About You:
To be a successful applicant, you must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in detailing and you must have a strong ability to read and interpret plans and quantify trusses, frames, and other components involved.
Key skills and experience required:
1. Understanding of residential construction, timber grades and basic timber engineering.
2. Ability to effectively juggle a number of tasks at any one time and work to meet deadlines.
3. Service-driven and solution-oriented approach to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
4. Strong work ethic and have the ability to work autonomously.
5. Strong communication skills to effectively communicate plans and progress.
6. High attention to detail maintaining a good level of accuracy in your work.
7. Computer proficiency ideally with the previous experience in MiTek (a must to have).
