About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Careers Advisor to join a Good Ofsted-rated school in Milton Keynes on a temporary basis, with the potential for the role to become permanent. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting students with their career planning and guidance, helping them achieve their goals and make informed decisions about their futures.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored career advice and guidance to students across year groups.
* Plan and deliver individual and group sessions on career pathways, further education, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities.
* Collaborate with teaching staff and external organisations to ensure students have access to a broad range of career options.
* Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress.
* Stay up to date with labour market trends, university programmes, and vocational training opportunities.
* Organise and participate in careers events, fairs, and workshops.
Candidate Requirements
* Level 6 Qualification in Careers Advice & Guidance (essential).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience providing careers support in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
