Management Accountant (FTC)
Job Description
Reporting to the Country R2R Manager, the Management Accountant will support the lead in delivering the monthly management reporting schedules, Statutory accounts and key statistical analysis for the Entities within the structural region.
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Local country finance leads delivering accurate and insightful data to help support key decision making and strategy development. This role will provide the opportunity to work across many areas of finance and receive exposure to senior finance & functional leaders, representing a great platform for developing a career at Sage.
This is a secondment till September 2026, hybrid working, 3 days per week in our Newcastle office.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in preparing monthly group management accounts, providing analysis and commentary on trends and key movements.
2. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support periodic balance sheet reviews to ensure internal controls are maintained.
3. Support local FCs with budgeting and forecasting.
4. Help produce financial statements and coordinate with auditors, providing necessary documentation for audits and tax returns.
5. Build strong relationships with regional teams and global departments, such as Tax, Treasury, and Technical Accounting.
What We Are Looking For
We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of financial reporting and analysis, strong attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills. You'll need to be a team player who thrives on collaboration, communicates well, and can build strong relationships across different teams. If you enjoy problem-solving, working with data, and ensuring compliance with deadlines, this role will suit you perfectly. A background in audit, statutory reporting, or management accounts would be a strong advantage. Desired qualification - ACA, ACCA or CIMA part qualified or equivalent.
