Description The Engineer I will perform engineering analysis assignments involving smaller, less complex projects under the supervision of an experienced engineer or engineering manager. These projects require the ability to apply conventional knowledge in a particular field of engineering and demonstrate the ability to gain, retain and illustrate comprehension of additional knowledge shared by more senior engineers as part of a project team. What You Will Do: Performs engineering review and analysis assignments under supervision of an experienced engineer or engineering manager Applies conventional knowledge in a particular field of engineering. Review project plans to understand the scope, schedule and assigned work. Prepare draft written documents, reports and presentations for review by an experienced engineer or engineering manager. Develop an understanding of the technical requirements and challenges and provide suggested opportunities of the company to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in day-to-day job tasks. Participate in client and team meetings as required. Track and accurately report hours spent on projects Work with individuals at all levels, provide input to reports and other deliverables, execute assignments, meet agreed deadlines, and adjust to changing client demands. Perform Quality Assurance on project deliverables. What You Will Need: Education and Experience Entry level, work experience preferred. Must BEng. degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering or other related disciplines; MEng/MSc. may be preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of related technical disciplines required. The ability to identify, analyze and propose solutions to technical problems (i.e., the competence to demonstrate complex problem-solving skills). Good command of the English language. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to work well with others. Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems.
