Demand Planner - Minffordd
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From 33,600.00 per year
Role Overview:
As a Demand Planner, you will manage key aspects of our supply chain, liaising with internal and external stakeholders such as hauliers, the commercial team, customer depots, and the export coordinator. Your role will be crucial in ensuring efficient inventory management, on-time deliveries, and a smooth flow of goods from production to retail.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
Oversee stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess or obsolete stock.
Align inventory with commercial sales forecasts and review production plans based on real-time sales data.
2. Haulier & Logistics Management
Coordinate transport providers to schedule timely pickups and deliveries.
Monitor transportation logistics and resolve in-transit issues, such as delays or damages.
3. Customer Relationship Management
Serve as the central contact for customer depots, addressing inquiries about orders, stock, and deliveries.
Provide proactive updates and handle any issues swiftly and professionally.
4. Reporting
Maintain accurate inventory and order records.
Raise claims with hauliers when necessary and inform the commercial team about any unfulfilled orders.
5. Copacker Stock Ordering
Work with the commercial team to manage stock levels for promotional volumes and third-party products.
6. Additional Responsibilities
Load monthly demand plans and manage weekly volume forecasts.
Ensure stock levels are maintained at 90% capacity and adjust plans based on forecast requirements.
Manage promotions and seasonality adjustments to secure production space.
Set up new product launches in demand plans with supporting commercial data.
7. Team KPI's
Ensure all required spares are available and managed effectively.
Maintain uninterrupted access to production lines for scheduled tasks.
Personal Profile
1. Experience: Experience in logistics, inventory management, or order processing. Experience with haulier communication is an advantage.
2. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise professionally with stakeholders.
3. Problem-Solving: Ability to think strategically and implement solutions to optimize the supply chain process.
4. Attention to Detail: Precision in data entry and stock management to avoid errors.
5. Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
