Job overview
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to join our Acute Pathway, working with young people with severe and enduring mental health presentations, within our CAMHS crisis service (MARRS) and inpatient team based at Sowenna. This is a great time to be joining an expanding therapy team and the post will provide the opportunity to contribute to the development of therapeutic approaches within MARRS and Sowenna, working within a creative and innovative multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
The role is a permanent full-time opportunity, which can be flexible for the right candidate, offering an exciting opportunity to expand our therapeutic offer within two highly skilled teams. The successful clinician will be an integral part of the therapy team, as well as a key member of the wider MDT, supporting clinical staff and providing interventions in the community and on the ward. We are looking for someone preferably with experience of children’s mental health services, although this is not essential. The successful clinician will be required to draw upon the developing evidence base to support assessment, formulation, intervention, and evaluation processes. This will include contributing to the development of individual and group therapy and supporting the development of an outreach offer to help young people transition back into the community.
