Date Posted: 28/01/2025 Location: Kilbryde Hospice, East Kilbride Salary: 20 hrs/week : £12,480 (£23,400 pro rata) Reports to: Fundraising & Commercial Manager Job Purpose The role of the Fundraising Administrator will be to support the fundraising team with all aspects of administration including the maintenance of our database, banking procedures, responsibility for financial data input and reporting and stock inventory management. The post holder will be expected to be confident in completing paperwork, both manually and electronically. Environment Kilbryde Hospice provides specialist palliative care services to the people of South Lanarkshire. It is a specialist resource for those individuals receiving palliative care who have particularly complex needs. The Hospice strives to meet the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of patients and carers, offering support in coping with the practical implications of life-limiting illnesses. Staff are required to provide the highest standard of patient-centred care possible, while promoting choice, dignity, self-esteem, and an enhanced quality of life. The Hospice is a Company Limited by guarantee, and a registered charity, and is required by separate and differing legislation to meet finance, governance, and regulatory requirements. Key Accountabilities Ensuring that our database is kept fully up-to-date, and all records are compliant with current legislation. Fundraising report generation and information management. Responding to supporter enquiries. Producing data files for mailing, recording income and managing the acknowledgement process. Ensuring timely and accurate recording of all donor information and income onto the database through manual input and file import and dealing with all related communications. Ensuring that all fundraising income is correctly identified and accurately allocated on our database. Accurately count donations and follow banking procedures Ensuring timely and accurate inputting of data from third party systems. Maintaining the upkeep of various inventories of stock and donations of gifts in kind. Assisting with the administration of fundraising events. Any other relevant duties as required by the Fundraising & Commercial Manager. Knowledge, Technical Skills, Qualifications and Experience Essential: Sound working knowledge of the Microsoft Office packages (specifically Word, Outlook and Excel). Confident counting money and recording on the relevant paperwork Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to manage own workload, excellent personal organisation and the ability to prioritise with a creative and constructive approach to challenges and opportunities. Friendly, outgoing manner, with the ability and confidence to communicate with donors A willingness to learn and develop own skills Desirable: Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle. Experience of donor databases, specifically eTapestry/Razor’s Edge Experience dealing with the public.
