Job Type: 6 month Fixed Term Contract
Location: This is a hybrid role and could be based in either our Wythall, Telford or Edinburgh offices with time spent working in the office and at home.
Flexible working: All of our roles are open to part-time, job-share and other types of flexibility. We will discuss what is important to you and balancing this with business requirements during the recruitment process.

The role:
You will provide proactive and high quality finance business partnering to migration Projects (TTP3 & Waterloo) within expenses team and support the production of accurate, timely and insightful monthly MI reporting across all relevant projects to key stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Support project teams to ensure project spend and forecasts are proactively monitored throughout the project lifecycle, undertaking deep dive reviews with project managers, where appropriate, identifying potential overspend risks / cost issues or opportunities available.
2. Track cost performance across aligned projects, continually challenging Project on forecast assumptions and performance against plan.
3. Lead the delivery of an efficient month end/year end process for projects to ensure that costs are accounted for correctly and reported with a high level of accuracy for the appropriate audience.
4. Ensure all project accruals are received, reviewed, challenged and journalled.
5. Ensure key month end project processes are completed on time.
6. Provide comprehensive rationale for any variances in overall project spend and benefits against budget and forecast.
7. Manage the production of high quality and timely monthly and adhoc financial MI for strategic projects for all stakeholders covering costs and benefits.
8. AOP/Budgeting – working with broader Finances team, support the delivery of a robust and timely AOP submission for the Phoenix project stack, including support delivery of project cases.
9. Build and maintain effective relationships and support mechanisms with all stakeholders, facilitating communication and resolving relevant issues and risks where required.
What are we looking for?
1. Qualified Chartered Certified Accountants (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) or alternatively part qualified (qualified by experience).
2. Ability to operate effectively in a complex business environment and work collaboratively across functions.
3. Good degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision.
4. A critical thinker with great analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
