Job overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior .NET Developer to join our dynamic team focused on developing cutting-edge enterprise healthcare solutions hosted within the Azure.
As a Senior .NET Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure software solutions that contribute to the advancement of healthcare technology within Northumbria and extend to the wider NHS.
You will be working on developing a key clinical system used by end patients to manage their healthcare journey and provide key clinical services.
You will play a crucial part in developing sophisticated software solutions that enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and security of our healthcare systems. Your work will go beyond coding; it extends to positively influencing the quality of patient care, streamlining healthcare workflows. Main duties of the job
* Development: Development of complex software using the .NET framework, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security protocols. Work closely with Azure services, such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database.
* Solution Architecture: Contribute to the design and architecture of robust, scalable, and maintainable healthcare solutions within the Azure ecosystem.
* Database Management: Design and optimize database structures, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and integrity for healthcare applications.
* Security and Compliance: Implement and adhere to security and compliance standards specific to healthcare, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive patient data.
* Code Review and Mentorship: Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback to junior developers, and mentor team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
* Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, architecture, and deployment processes to ensure transparency and knowledge transfer within the team.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* Extensive experience as a .NET developer, with a focus on enterprise-level solutions.
* In-depth knowledge of the .NET framework, C#, ASP.NET, and related technologies.
* Proven experience working with Azure cloud services and integrating them into software solutions.
* Experience with database design and management, particularly with Azure SQL Database.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications
* Professional knowledge acquired through degree or equivalent experience, and specialist knowledge acquired through post graduate courses & experience to Masters or equivalent level plus in-depth technical and strategic knowledge. Requires developed, in depth specialist knowledge, underpinned by theory and professional experience of disciplines including technical development, Quality Assurance and IM&T service delivery acquired through training and experience over an extended period.
