16-20 hours per week
Toensure that all incoming patient correspondence is reviewed, filtered anddisseminated scanned and stored as appropriate on/in the patients medicalrecord and relevant information is coded.
Toconsistently follow the workflow protocol to ensure the quality and safety ofthe service
Oncecompetent to manage at least 20 letters per hour
Tobe able to locate documents as needed
Tocarry out administrative related tasks as delegated by the specialist advisor orteam leader

3. Carry out administrative tasks relating to patient records, including filing, document management and ensuring patients can access reports, prescriptions and that they are easily accessible.
Coding/Workflow
4. Ensure consistent use of the EMIS workflow template
5. Identify relevant clinical information contained in patient correspondence
6. Code or free text the clinical information on to the patient record in line with QOF/Practice guidelines
7. Deal with queries relating to coding
8. Forward the document to the doctor or nurse who initiated the referral or who is most appropriate to receive the information

Qualifications
Essential
17. A level standard, or equivalent level of experience in an administrative role
18. ECDL or equivalent level of keyboard/IT skills
19. Evidence of continuing personal development
20. Experience of working in a team
21. Use of EMIS and Docman
Desirable
22. RSA level 3 or equivalent level of experience
23. Information Governance Training
24. Understanding of CQC/QOF
