Grade 4 starting at £25,733 to 29,179 per annum, pro rata if part time.

About the role
Brighton and Sussex Medical School welcomes applications for a fixed-term (one year maternity cover) Research Coordinator to join our collegial and supportive team. Primarily based on the University of Sussex campus, the postholder will support and work closely with the School’s Senior Research Manager, Deputy Research Manager and the School’s Research Leadership team to provide comprehensive administrative support for a range of School research (and knowledge exchange) functions ensuring that they operate smoothly.
The postholder will be part of a small, attentive and efficient team and serve as a point of crucial contact and link between staff members, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
About you
Ideally, you will have knowledge of the Higher Education sector, including familiarity with research processes. You will be proactive and independent, yet highly collaborative with effective planning and organisational skills to organise your own workload and priorities in a very busy demanding role.
You will be a collegiate individual with an enthusiasm to participate fully as an active and integral member of the team.

Our university is situated off the A27, next to the beautiful South Downs where you will enjoy everything that our 150-acre campus has to offer. We are accessible by public transport; Falmer train station is a five-minute walk to campus and several bus stops are located within campus. We also have dedicated cycling paths and encourage our staff to use these with our offering of a cycle to work scheme.
