Position
The Accounts Payable Assistant will be fully trained on all internal systems to take responsibility for several accounts payable processes. The candidate should have excellent attention to detail and thrive on work that is often fast-paced and challenging.
As Accounts Assistant at our North London Wembley office, you will:
1. Administer the accounts inbox for purchase invoices
2. Respond to vendor enquiries via email
3. Liaise with third parties and other departments to resolve any issues/differences
4. Input daily purchase invoices manually and through Continia
5. Complete verification of new supplier’s bank details
6. Accurately prepare supplier payment runs
7. Post credit card payments to ensure statements reconcile
Requirements
The ideal Accounts Payable Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk will have the following skills and experience:
1. Experience of working in a busy accounts office, with purchase ledger experience
2. High attention to detail supported by strong numerical skills
3. Have initiative and a pro-active, enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
5. Clear spoken and written English is required
6. Highly literate in most Microsoft packages
7. Ability to prioritise to meet tight deadlines
8. Flexible team player but able to use own initiative

1. £28,800 per annum

The role is a mix of home working and office-based days, candidates should therefore have a reasonable commute to our Wembley office. Working hours 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
Initially a 12-month fixed term contract as Maternity cover.
