Job Title: Qualified Accountant
Location: Flexible (Belfast, or multiple County Down offices)
Overview:
As part of our ongoing expansion, we are looking for an experienced and driven UK Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in compliance and tax advisory and a thorough understanding of compliance processes. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team, handling a variety of complex tax matters and offering support in a collaborative and stimulating environment.
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Tax Director and senior team members, you will be involved in both advisory and compliance work.
* Delivering expert tax advisory services to a diverse range of clients from different industries.
* Advising on intricate UK tax matters such as corporate tax, VAT, income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax.
* Assisting clients with mergers and acquisitions, restructures, and corporate reorganisations.
* Building and maintaining client relationships, serving as the key point of contact for tax-related queries.
Compliance:
* Overseeing the preparation of UK and ROI corporation tax returns, as well as self-assessment tax returns.
* Ensuring tax returns and associated documentation are filed accurately and on time for clients.
* Staying up to date with changes in tax legislation, ensuring compliance, and guiding clients on the potential impact of those changes.
Requirements:
* Professional qualifications such as CTA, ATT, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent at CTA level.
* Experience in UK tax, with a strong emphasis on advisory.
* Experience in tax compliance tasks (both corporate and individual) is an advantage.
* Proven experience in managing client relationships effectively.
* Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax, VAT, personal taxes, and other relevant areas.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts to clients and colleagues.
* Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a motivated environment.
* Passion for mentoring and developing junior staff members.
* Exceptional organisational skills
