We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Investment Management Firms & Pershing Regulatory Reporting Manager to join our Finance Professional Services Centre team. This role is located in Manchester.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
1. Reporting: Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality daily, monthly, quarterly & annual capital, liquidity, financial regulatory reporting for the Investment Management & Pershing entities in EMEA. Provide support in other areas of regulatory reporting as required.
2. Stakeholder management: Develop close relationships with Market Centre report owner and other business areas, particularly Regulatory Change, Treasury, and Legal Entity Controllers.
3. Supervision: Act as a senior team member within the UK team through carrying out an effective review of the production and being the key contact and SME for Investment Management and Pershing reporting. In addition, involvement in management activities within the wider team.
4. Oversight & Controls: Ensure all reports are produced in a strong operational control environment with well-evidenced reviews, checklists, variance commentary, reconciliations, and procedures. Reporting analytics and MI in a timely fashion, ensuring that you meet reporting deadlines and quality expectations.
5. Knowledge: Stay abreast of legislative, accounting, and regulatory developments, as well as knowledge of external reporting requirements and procedures.
6. Assurance: Key involvement with internal and external assurance activities, provide deliverable requests, walkthroughs, and respond to queries within a timely manner.
7. Change: Assist with the provision of regulatory support for relevant projects including new regulatory reporting production requirements and regulatory system improvements, new business and product launches. Perform other functions as required from time to time.
8. Other: Ensure the operational processes are optimized to drive efficient, effective, and risk-managed outputs.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
1. Qualified Accountant with ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA Full Accreditation or equivalent, with at least 5 years post-qualified experience.
2. Regulatory Reporting experience essential, including regulatory and accounting systems and processes; Investment Management experience highly desirable.
3. Team management experience of working as part of a global finance team, ensuring tight deliverables are met.
4. Organized and structured working methodology, attention to detail, and highly motivated with an inquisitive/curious mindset.
5. Excellent stakeholder management skills, including communication, planning, and escalation.
6. Experience of a fast-moving, deadline-focused, highly controlled, multi-national/functional organization.
