We have a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated band 6 nurse to join our small and friendly team in providing nursing care to patients within the cystoscopy unit. Previous urology experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
A full training package will be provided to the successful applicant and will remain supernumerary until all competencies are completed. Duties will include: undertaking diagnostic flexible cystoscopies, administration of intravesical immunotherapy and chemotherapy, working alongside the medical team during urodynamic studies and working within high level disinfection areas.
As part of this role, the successful applicant will be expected to work in rotation as part of the emergency responder team for Corbett site. Full support and training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the management of the Urology patients within the Urology Department during the shift, including assisting the organisation of the Nursing Department activities and the management of staff and resources.
The post holder will support the Matron in developing and monitoring services and the quality of care experienced by patients.
