Job description
We are looking for a People Consultant to join our team at Oxford City Council. This is a part-time position working up to 23 hours per week, with flexibility on how these hours are worked.
In this role, you will provide expert advice to employees and line managers on all employee relations matters. You will support casework in line with OCC policies and procedures, build management capability through coaching and training, and provide guidance and support through the organisational change process. You will also help to maintain the job evaluation procedure, and work on improving employee wellbeing.
Key responsibilities:
* Advise and coach managers on various employment issues
* Support complex casework
* Attend formal meetings and provide HR support
* Lead organisational change projects
* Manage the job evaluation process
* Update policies to comply with UK employment law
* Deliver training to managers
* Maintain good relations with recognised Trade Union groups
About you:
We are looking for someone with experience in handling complex employee relations cases, updating HR policies, and working with Trade Union representatives. You should understand UK employment laws and have experience in working with senior stakeholders.
