We are looking to recruit a part time, permanent member of staff to join our dedicated administrative team.
The post holder will provide essential administrative functions, whilst interfacing with clinical and administrative staff, patients and the general public. The service is fast paced, and you would be expected to carry out a variety of clinical and administrative tasks.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate they have the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels by telephone and in person. Excellent organisational skills and time management are also essential. The ability to analyse data and prioritise workload is desirable.
You should have excellent keyboard skills and a working knowledge of software packages.

Main duties of the job
* To enter routine referral data, make and reschedule appointments using Meditech, EMIS and e-Referrals System (Choose & Book) information systems.
* To make new and review outpatient appointments, and to register patient attendances in accordance with agreed procedures.
* To assist the Scheduling Coordinators and Scheduling Managers in rearranging clinical sessions and rescheduling patients on Meditech, EMIS as requested. This requires making judgements involving facts or situations, some requiring analysis.
* To action the cancellations and reschedule of appointments resulting from the SMS/Phone Reminder Service and the Webform.
* To answer telephone calls promptly from patients and their relatives, General Practice and other clinicians, resolving routine queries and re-directing callers, as necessary.
* The above tasks require sitting at a desk, using the PC/VDU and telephone for most of the day.
* To provide administrative cover across the service when required.

Service Operating Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30-17.00, hours, working days open to negotiation.
