My client is a UK based manufacturer of flavours for a wide variety of applications, they are a different kind of flavour house, fiercely independent, with a business philosophy of being friendly, flexible, fast and always on budget. Duties and responsibilities You will work closely with customers to maintain and develop existing and new product applications across yogurt, milk drinks, ice cream, sports nutrition, sweet and savoury sauces and fruit – based applications. Delivering costings and specifications of flavours to the customer Liaise with the Flavourists, Technical & Commercial teams to deliver sweet related customer project briefs Explore and develop new dairy and other sweet application formats designed to showcase our flavours. Develop sector skills, commercial awareness and networking through attendance at relevant exhibitions, conferences, seminars, webinars etc You will be responsible for delivering presentations to customers to demonstrate our flavours and new product concepts. Demonstrate and develop a broad understanding of the dairy and wider sweet sector, in particular monitoring trends and how these could fit with our activity. Create short reports, highlighting new launches, new market products, and any major findings. Supporting and working closely with the team on key accounts The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and experience: You will ideally have a degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology or a similar food-based Qualification. You will ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the development of dairy or sweet products such as ice cream, yogurts, sauces, sports nutrition, milk drinks, bakery, confectionery etc. However the level of the position is flexible and for the right person, less expereince could be considered. This will be gained from working for a flavour or food ingredients business or for a dairy or other sweet products manufacturing business. You will have a good technical understanding of how to incorporate and optimise flavours in dairy and sweet applications, ensuring stability, taste performance, and compliance. You will be comfortable being customer facing and possess strong communication skills. You will have excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
