Logistics Administrator
Location: Aylesbury Office (HP19 8DB)
Hybrid Role – working remote approx. 1 day a week and office based for the remainder.

The role holder will support the effective running of the day-to-day operations of the Reactive Services logistics team. This will be through the effective allocation of vehicles to ensure best in class service delivery, ensuring health & safety standards are maintained, and ensuring environmental and legislative compliance, support employee engagement, continuous improvement in productivity and quality of service provision.

* Day to day allocation of operational staff in order to achieve best in class service delivery.
* Managing route efficiency and utilising optimum disposal outlets within the area to ensure effective use of vehicles and facilities.
* Debrief of operational staff at the end of each working day to identify any issues and support swift resolutions.
* Manage driver availability and coverage in line with legislation and company procedures to ensure that there is always suitable coverage.
* Perform administrative duties including the filing of photos, answering internal emails and phone calls.
* Allocating work to the suitable vehicle type based on legal requirements.
* Control vehicle availability daily ensuring that drivers have completed the daily checks and are out on the road.
* In conjunction with the Depot Manager, ensure the drivers working hours are being upheld and monitored.
* Supporting operational staff on the phones through the day.
* Supporting in the roll out of new initiatives and services.

* Experience of a position of similar responsibility in Services or Logistics industry.
* Health & Safety conscious.
* Good geographical knowledge E.g. Postcode areas.
* Good transport / logistics knowledge.
* Good working knowledge of existing and impending environmental and health and safety legislation.
* Experience of dealing with first line operational staff.
* Experience in a labour intensive, multi-shift environment.
* Competent on computers and picking up new systems.
