Who can be a Supply Teacher? It is essential that you hold UK QTS and have experience across 2 Key Stages (EYFS and KS1 or KS1 and KS2). You will demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and a flexible attitude. Ideally, you will be available 2-5 days per week with access to your own transport and be happy to travel up to 30 minutes. Being a Supply Teacher… Most of the work will be booked in advance, but there may be occasions where you will be called between 7 am and 9 am for work on the same day. Most schools will provide the planning for the day, but you will need to have a bank of resources to hand, suitable for all year groups – just in case. Working across various schools, you will follow each school’s policies, mark the children’s work, and provide handover notes for when the class teacher returns. Who are Teaching Personnel?
