Runway’s End is Hampshire County Council's first carbon neutral site, sitting beside the Basingstoke Canal and boasts a wide range of adventure and environmental activities on land and water.
Our Business Support Assistant provides first point of contact for customers and visitors to the Centre. As part of a busy, flexible team you will provide an excellent and effective customer service, encouraging the use of our services by all our customers, supporting them through the bookings process and ensuring accurate and up to date records are maintained.
Ideally you will possess excellent administration and organisational skills, have previous IT experience and have a background of working in a fast-paced office environment. Alternatively, you will have an aptitude to learn and grow these skills. Highly motivated and customer-focused, you will be able to work under pressure, approaching tasks with confidence and clarity, and be able to work using your own initiative. You will need to be proactive and flexible in your approach and work as part of a team.
Normal hours of work will average 37 per week, Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm worked according to a pattern agreed with your manager. Very occasional evening and weekend working will be required according to the operational needs of the Centre.
