An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to join Mayo House, supporting the Home Manager to develop and lead a large, dedicated team to deliver high quality, creative support to the people we care for.
Mayo House is an exciting and innovative home with a well-trained and committed staff team. The team works with people with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs, in a person-centred and individual way.
Purpose-built for the efficient practice of care, service users enjoy comfortable living areas in which to socialise and relax, with many other healthcare and lifestyle options made available as part of the service.
As Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the team on a day-to-day basis with enthusiasm and professionalism, being an excellent role model, demonstrating the value of personal authenticity and taking responsibility for actions.
* Working with the Home/Project Manager to ensure an optimum service is delivered by managing staff performance and collaborating with colleagues across the Trust for continuous personal development.
* Modeling best practice support of service users and ensuring that the team adheres to the Trust’s commitments relating to personalisation, including involving service users in designing their service and in staff recruitment and learning.
* Ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to and that staff are appropriately managed.
The successful Team Leader will:
* Have a passion for providing truly individualised care.
* Demonstrate previous experience of working with people with a learning disability in a CQC regulated service.
* Have experience of managing and leading a staff team and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills.
* Have experience of developing and implementing person-centred approaches.
* Demonstrate previous experience with the clinical governance system and clinical environment.
