Previous knowledge or experience of OPD services and their underlying ethos is beneficial. The Offender Health directorate in Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides Healthcare to nine prisons and a short term holding facility in Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. These services include physical healthcare, mental healthcare, and intellectual disability, neurodevelopmental and substance misuse services. The Directorate also provides specialist treatment to individuals with personality related difficulties at HMP Whatton and HMP North Sea Camp, in addition to 2 Therapeutic Communities at HMP Gartree and HMP Dovegate (joint NHS/ HMPPS), and also offer OPD services within Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire (community provision). This position is within the Community OPD service in Nottinghamshire however we are keen to work with people who are interested in working across the Directorate. Assist with the identification of individuals with likely problematic personality traits. Under supervision provide specialist psychological case consultation through planned consultation clinics and informally in response to advice requests. Providing specialist case formulations under supervision on the cases with the most complex needs where establishing the management arrangements and pathway requires a sophisticated understanding of the individual. To provide an explanation that helps probation staff understand an individuals behaviour, presentation and problems. It will use a framework to develop a hypothesis, or theory, about the onset, motivation and maintenance factors about an individuals behaviour and functioning and should provide a testable hypothesis and prediction about how an offender managers may engage effectively with the individual.
