Job Description
Ballantynes have an opportunity to join the team as Stock Controller within the Finance Team. This is a busy and varied role with the key focus maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and values in accordance with Ballantynes policies. You will work closely with Ballantynes Buyers, Departmental Managers, Warehousing team and wider Finance team.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities:
1. Providing thorough reports and accurate inventory results with appropriate recommendations on a regular basis
2. Perform monthly reconciliation of physical inventory counts to system records
3. Investigating and resolving discrepancies in inventory records
4. Coordinate and oversee the Goods Returned Documentation process
5. Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures including external audit.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will also provide support to the wider Finance Team with accounts payable, year end processes and any other tasks that may be required.
To be successful:
1. 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
2. Experience in a retail environment (desirable)
3. High attention to detail
4. Competent user of Microsoft Office
5. Experience using Inventory Management Systems
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills
7. Ability to build strong relationships
8. Demonstrable problem solving and investigation skills
9. Strong Time Management and Organisation skills
10. Solution focused and Experience in improving and developing processes

Qualifications
Bachelor degree in a business related discipline or equivalent experience (desirable)
