As a Hygiene Team Leader, you will manage, develop, and lead the team of In-House hygiene technicians safely and effectively whilst driving behavioural safety within the team to achieve and maintain an ‘Audit Ready Standards’ approach to site cleaning standards.
Responsibilities:
* Have ownership of responsibilities and ensure team members clearly understand their daily tasks.
* Create a positive and safe working environment within the team.
* Report daily issues, including personnel matters, to supervisors in a timely manner.
* Ensure all staff understand and follow procedures throughout the factory.
* Have ownership of duties in the assigned area, including machinery, personnel training, and daily hygiene cleaning documents.
Summary of Duties:
Under the direction of the Hygiene Supervisor, the Team Leader is required to:
* Health & Safety: Deliver unsafe condition and unsafe behavioral audits with actions 3 per week per Team Leader through QR Code system.
* Achieve a 'right first time' clean, following set work instructions and safety protocols.
* Ensure hygiene team members wear PPE at all times.
* Identify and report any issues to the Hygiene Supervisor when they arise.
* Complete related documents and records timely and accurately.
* Ensure hygiene operatives follow the correct guidelines for cleaning machines as per CIC.
* Manage hygiene staff on the shift to ensure proactive and safe job role execution.
* Carry out start-up/inspection checks of cleaning equipment and report any damages.
* Supervise allocated hygiene staff daily to ensure smooth running of the shift and task completion efficiently.
* Maintain tidiness in factory production areas, ensuring floors are clear and rubbish is regularly removed.
* Arrange interim cleaning of work surfaces including chiller shelving, table tops, and chopping boards.
* Participate in deep cleans and manage hygiene factory documents.
* Ensure smooth operation of the tray wash machine and conveyors, providing clean trays for production and reporting any issues.
* Understand hygiene key inspection points from CIC.
* Prioritize tasks and report any issues to the Hygiene Supervisor to ensure smooth running of hygiene duties at all times.
* Report any Health and Safety issues or accidents immediately to the Hygiene Supervisor or Hygiene Manager.
* Maintain a positive working environment with team members.
