About the role:
Facilitate practical, hands-on experiences that encourage students to experiment, innovate, and develop their design skills.
Design and implement an engaging DT curriculum that aligns with educational standards and fosters creativity.
Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials to create an effective and efficient learning environment.
Ensure a safe working environment by teaching the proper use of tools and enforcing safety protocols.
Cultivate a classroom culture that celebrates creativity and critical thinking, empowering students to express their ideas confidently.
Promote a supportive atmosphere that values the well-being of both students and staff, encouraging open communication and collaboration.
The ideal candidate must:
Have the right to work within the UK
Have experience working within a classroom
DBS registered on the update system or willing to purchase one
Be comfortable and adaptable working in different environments
Strong knowledge of the Design Technology curriculum.
Have strong classroom management skills.
A QTS or PGCE or overseas trained teacher to UK equivalent
Marking and planning are compulsory with this role
