We are seeking an experienced and organised individual to join our Health, Safety and Estates team as an Administrator to support the team in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our learners, visitors and staff.
About The Role:
As a key part of our team, you will provide administrative support to the Health, Safety and Estates team by maintaining databases, monitoring Estate budgets, and ensuring our First Aid boxes are fully stocked at all times. You will play an important role in supporting the College in our journey towards net zero, by helping us lower our carbon emissions throughout the estate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate with contractors and service providers for regular maintenance and small project work, ensuring all requirements are met and guidelines are followed by all.
2. Prepare documents in readiness for Health and Safety training sessions.
3. Review and update Health and Safety notice boards across Campus, providing employees, visitors and students with up-to-date information to maintain a safe College environment.
4. Liaise and meet with Insurance Inspectors on College equipment site visits.
5. Take part in Fire Drills as a Duty Officer as required.
6. Check and maintain College safety signage by carrying out safety signage audits and ordering new supplies in a timely manner.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. Level 2 Qualifications in English and Maths.
2. Level 2 Qualification in Business Administration.
3. To hold a recognised First Aid qualification, or be willing to work towards it, which is to be maintained throughout employment with the College.
4. Hold a full, clean driving licence, and have access to own vehicle with business use insurance.
5. Proven experience working in, and providing support in, a coordination/administrative role is essential due to the demands of the role.
